An artificial bar across the mouth of the River Almond retains a pool of about two cables in length, with depths of up to four feet at low water. Around 40 moorings are laid by the Club in this pool for keelboats up to about 28 ft loa. Boats are moored to ground chains, secured at bow and stern, and most vessels up to 3 feet draught remain afloat at low tide.
Keelboats can be laid up in the dinghy park or on the quayside during the winter months.
