If you have any items of sailing gear you want to sell, you can advertise them for sale on the club website. You can sell anything from yachts to wetsuits, paddles to shackles.

Any items you post will be visible not just to club members but to anyone who visits the website.

To post an item for sale:

On the club website, click on Login in the top right corner, and enter your email address and password (the same as for your annual renewal).

In the main menu (green bar), click on For Sale.

Click on Add / Manage My Classifieds, then fill in the details of the item you want to sell:

Do NOT include your contact details. These will automatically be provided by the system to anyone who responds to your advert.

Then click on Save. Your item will now appear on the For Sale page.

To view an item for sale and make an offer:

You don't need to be logged in to view or buy items, but it doesn't matter if you are.

In the main menu (green bar), click on For Sale.

Click on the item you are interested in, then in the Get in touch section, enter your name and contact details (if you are logged in, this will be pre-filled) and click on Send.

If someone contacts you about an item you have posted:

You will receive an email to say someone is interested in your item. Click on View / Reply in the email to respond.

When your item has sold:

When your item has been successfully sold, log in then click on For Sale.

Click on Add / Manage My Classifieds, then click on the item you want to remove.

Do NOT simply delete the item. Instead, tick the Mark as sold box at the foot of the page then Save. This will leave the item on the For Sale page but show that it has been sold.
