Crane Out 2023

Yesterday we had our annual Crane Out and after a week of strong winds and heavy rain we were relived to have a calm dry day with only a slight run on the river. On the hard or Banksman, Alastair Johnson, did an excellent job well supported by the various teams throughout the day getting the boats safely positioned on the quay wall. Howie Stansfield deputising for Paul Sizeland attended to the storage position's of the boats being placed in the dinghy park. On the water the tug teams of Alex Tulloch, Chris Callender, Lawrie Elliott and Campbell Calder were kept busy throughout the day.

Most importantly the catering team led by Jennie Stansfield did a tremendous and much appreciated job supplying soup, filled rolls, baking and hot drinks throughout the day to the hungry helpers!
