Frostbite 2

After what seemed like an endless period of strong-to gale force easterly winds we were amazed to get a beautiful sailing day for our second series of races in our 2023 Frostbite event on Saturday 28 October. With the breeze up Campbell Calder dominated in his Laser with a couple of firsts, Keith Driver (ILCA6) pushed him hard in the first race but fell out of contention after a swim at the leeward mark allowing Mathew Mill to take second and Lawrie Elliott third, both sailing Laser Radials. In race two Campbell again took first, with Lawrie in second and Mathew third. Leonie Griffin and Janice Kerrisk had a great sail in their Wanderer enjoying some white water surfing in the large seas! A special mention must go to Istvan Csajaghy who sailed hid GP14 with his young daughter and completed both races in the challenging conditions and to Pavol Mraz new to sailing this year and doing extremely well in the Laser Radial.
