Chilly freesail

Chilly freesail today with six boats taking part. A couple of our newer members, Rod Finlayson and Adam James on club lasers, along with Steven van Stiphout single handed on his GP14. Andy Carr and Pavol Mraz took a jaunt to Inchcolm Island and Chris Callendar and Lawrie Elliott found the wind at the end of Cramond Island. The forecast windy conditions tapered off and wind was hard to find, coming from the SSW. Initial bright sunny conditions changed to rain over time, with the wind dropping off completely and four boats had to be towed to the inner slip. There was quite a bit of excitement around our new Associate Member Heriot Watt University who were testing out their two hydrogen powered boats in the river.
